Jacob Figueroa is an American filmmaker focused on character-driven stories that explore the world we live in through both grounded and imaginative lenses.

Born and raised across Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee, his rural upbringing and love of movies spurred a vivid imagination that helped shape his perspective as an artist, filling the gap left by limited exposure to his Puerto Rican heritage.

His short film THE MARIGOLDS LISTEN screened at Tallgrass, SLO International, and NewFilmmakers LA film festivals.

With a background in acting, Jacob is drawn to storytelling that emphasizes atmosphere, memory, and inanimate objects as emotional extensions of character, complementing the humanness of his work.
