Jacob Figueroa is an American filmmaker focused on storytelling that emphasizes behavior, atmosphere, memory, and inanimate objects as emotional extensions of character, complementing the humanness of his work.

Born and raised across Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee, his rural upbringing and love of movies spurred a vivid imagination that helped shape his artistic perspective, filling the gap left by limited exposure to his Puerto Rican heritage.

His short film, THE MARIGOLDS LISTEN, about the deterioration of a relationship told through a bouquet of flowers, found exhibition at the Tallgrass, SLO International, and NewFilmmakers LA film festivals.
